Ok i restored from backup. But in the first post you say "Attached are the files to be replaced". But i don't see any files attached. Can please tell me which files should be replaced or point me to the right direction.straightlight wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 5:44 pmYou did not followed the instructions from the first post. It is instructed to replace all PP express files while you downloaded the entire package and uploaded all files from my namespace and was not what's been said.

Good point. Forgot to remove this portion since the move out to Github for this package to be used. This portion has now been removed. The files that needs to be replaced are all the filenames that contains: pp_express in it.ThuNderGr wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 9:13 pmOk i restored from backup. I installed OC version 3.0.2.0 and faced issues with PP express checkout as well. With the default files from version 3.0.2.0 the initial checkout error is "We’re sorry Things don’t appear to be working at the moment." but if I click on retry then it will allow me to pay.
Then I found this post and tried to replace every file with the name "pp_express" from the github repo provided and also cleared the caches in OC but then I received another error stating something like this.
Code: Select all
Error: Error: There was an error fetching the PayPal token at eval (eval at globalEval (http://domainname/catalog/view/javascript/jquery/jquery-2.1.1.min.js:2:2536), :22:21) at _loop (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:779:46) at ZalgoPromise._proto.dispatch (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:796:53) at ZalgoPromise._proto.resolve (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:751:66) at https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:737:41 at XMLHttpRequest. So users need to revert to the default open cart checkout style.
Has anyone tried this fix lately on journal3 ?
Not having PayPal express has hit my business so hard as most customers bail on the chekout process. When I had PayPal express working from older open cart version sales went up immediately.
Out of all the problems this has been a nightmare. But thanking straightlite for the work he has done on this to help fix things.

OC version? Also, how this that relative to PP Express Checkout? Any screenshots from the admin form you could post?

I have an issue using Paypal Express - OC3.0.3.2 and Journal3 one page checkout. (on standard checkout Paypal is properly working)
When you select Paypal Express payment in checkout page, the "confirm order" button doesn't work.
Tried to contact Journal theme but they say it is a Paypal API issue... Paypal is not answering...
Could anybody help me out?
(I tried to check on the top of this discussion too, but links are not working...)
Is there a simple way to fix?
thanks!!

Using Journal?paul.hannon wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 7:40 amI have opencart v 3.0.3.2 and am unable to get paypal express checkout workout. The paypal windows comes up and returns {"token":"EC-4XC098015U039133U"}. I am unsure which files I need to replace from the github download as stated in the first post? is it just anything with pp_express in it?
Thanks

Sorry I forgot the version! It's on the Admin PayPal Express config page, the Checkout tab.straightlight wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 6:53 pmOC version? Also, how this that relative to PP Express Checkout? Any screenshots from the admin form you could post?
OC 3.0.3.2

Please read the first post on the topic. I no longer support this extension since the master branch on Github no longer contains any extension payment and shipping modules connecting via a service provider. If you'd like to use a patched version of PayPal Express, please search on the Marketplace.Gilmore wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 3:50 amSorry I forgot the version! OK Thanks! But just a couple more questions, how come all of the payment extensions have been removed from OpenCart? I only see the basic ones in there now. Is there a problem with them and Opencart? Should we start migrating our carts to a different cart program?straightlight wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 6:53 pmOC version? Also, how this that relative to PP Express Checkout? And is that extension safe to use?https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=38358
And most of all, are you still going to be helping, debugging and fixing Opencart questions? After all, you are the BEST one on here for that!
Thanks!

Daniel has explained on his Github changelogs that it was too much maintenance work to handle all these extensions while the Marketplace already provides the options to the people to download all extensions as a separate installation rather than taking care of those from the core due to the recent requirements from the service providers. There is no need to switch cart while the Marketplace still provides its services to buyers in order for their Business to keep growing.Gilmore wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 5:43 amOK Thanks! Therefore, you could download the new PayPal extension from here: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=38358 .
