You did not followed the instructions from the first post. It is instructed to replace all PP express files while you downloaded the entire package and uploaded all files from my namespace and was not what's been said.
Ok i restored from backup. But in the first post you say "Attached are the files to be replaced". But i don't see any files attached. Can please tell me which files should be replaced or point me to the right direction.

Good point. Forgot to remove this portion since the move out to Github for this package to be used. This portion has now been removed. The files that needs to be replaced are all the filenames that contains: pp_express in it.

Hi guys,

I installed OC version 3.0.2.0 and faced issues with PP express checkout as well. With the default files from version 3.0.2.0 the initial checkout error is "We’re sorry Things don’t appear to be working at the moment." but if I click on retry then it will allow me to pay.

Then I found this post and tried to replace every file with the name "pp_express" from the github repo provided and also cleared the caches in OC but then I received another error stating something like this.

Code: Select all

Error: Error: There was an error fetching the PayPal token at eval (eval at globalEval (http://domainname/catalog/view/javascript/jquery/jquery-2.1.1.min.js:2:2536), :22:21) at _loop (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:779:46) at ZalgoPromise._proto.dispatch (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:796:53) at ZalgoPromise._proto.resolve (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:751:66) at https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:737:41 at XMLHttpRequest. (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:1092:24) at Object._RECEIVE_MESSAGE_TYPE. [as postrobot_message_response] (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:4247:27) at receiveMessage (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:4278:48) at messageListener (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:4297:9)
I double checked the PayPal API credentials and they are correct. May I know what do I need to do except the steps I done above to get express checkout working?

I have made some updates today regarding site redirection between the stores and PayPal Express Checkout methods to count products from the cart. In case the time interval of the cart would exceed or would not match the time zone between the client and the client-server, it will now redirect the customer to the checkout/checkout page with an error message indicating that the cart has been emptied. The full log entries are also provided to the merchant.

1st post updated by providing a list of identified Countries and Zones being denied by PP Express Checkout while using the PP Express Checkout package from my namespace. Take note that those denial regions are not caused by my modified extension itself but rather by PayPal specifically. My extension only helps to identify those claims for merchants to have a better understanding.

Journal support told me PayPal cannot be used with any one page checkout.

So users need to revert to the default open cart checkout style.

Has anyone tried this fix lately on journal3 ?

Not having PayPal express has hit my business so hard as most customers bail on the chekout process. When I had PayPal express working from older open cart version sales went up immediately.

Out of all the problems this has been a nightmare. But thanking straightlite for the work he has done on this to help fix things.

Opencart Github version no longer use PayPal with the exception of Braintree. All prior extensions have been removed from the master branch.

Am I doing something wrong or are there no options in this updated PP Express extension to change Payment with "Credit Card or Debit Card" ON or OFF, option to turn OFF "PayPal Credit Payment", and change Buttons Size, Shape, and Color?

~ OC 3.0.3.2 and OCmods only ~

How do I get Credit or Debit Cards to stay enabled under Optional Funding Methods? Every time I save it as Yes, it switches back to No.

Thanks!

OC version? Also, how this that relative to PP Express Checkout? Any screenshots from the admin form you could post?

Hi
I have an issue using Paypal Express - OC3.0.3.2 and Journal3 one page checkout. (on standard checkout Paypal is properly working)
When you select Paypal Express payment in checkout page, the "confirm order" button doesn't work.
Tried to contact Journal theme but they say it is a Paypal API issue... Paypal is not answering...
Could anybody help me out?
(I tried to check on the top of this discussion too, but links are not working...)
Is there a simple way to fix?

thanks!!

I have opencart v 3.0.3.2 and am unable to get paypal express checkout workout. The paypal windows comes up and returns {"token":"EC-4XC098015U039133U"}. I am unsure which files I need to replace from the github download as stated in the first post? is it just anything with pp_express in it?

Thanks

Sorry I forgot the version! It's on the Admin PayPal Express config page, the Checkout tab.

Please read the first post on the topic. I no longer support this extension since the master branch on Github no longer contains any extension payment and shipping modules connecting via a service provider. If you'd like to use a patched version of PayPal Express, please search on the Marketplace.

OK Thanks! But just a couple more questions, how come all of the payment extensions have been removed from OpenCart? I only see the basic ones in there now. Is there a problem with them and Opencart? Should we start migrating our carts to a different cart program?
And is that extension safe to use?https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=38358
And most of all, are you still going to be helping, debugging and fixing Opencart questions? After all, you are the BEST one on here for that!

Thanks!

Daniel has explained on his Github changelogs that it was too much maintenance work to handle all these extensions while the Marketplace already provides the options to the people to download all extensions as a separate installation rather than taking care of those from the core due to the recent requirements from the service providers. There is no need to switch cart while the Marketplace still provides its services to buyers in order for their Business to keep growing.

Therefore, you could download the new PayPal extension from here: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=38358 .
