(add to cart, add to wish list, compare) buttons suddenly stopped working.

Hello

suddenly some buttons on my OC shop stopped working, when anyone tries to add a product to cart, the add button doesn't do any action and shows an error in the console log

Code: Select all

(index):512 Uncaught TypeError: $ is not a function
    at HTMLAnchorElement.onclick ((index):512)
and

Code: Select all

Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined
    at Object.2../countdown.js
and the "compare" and the "add to wish list" buttons shows an error

Code: Select all

"Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'add' of undefined
    at HTMLAnchorElement.onclick "
could anyone help me with this issue? i searched everywhere and i couldn't solve it

i couldn't sell a single product for 2 days now and that's a huge lost which i can't afford, so i will be so grateful for anyone helps me.

You got these errors:

SyntaxError: unexpected token: keyword 'var' 3bdf6f6ab9193c8b9165fc11f9926fa3.js:59:51

TypeError: $ is not a function nawaem-est.com:1:17

These issues are most likely caused by the Journal3 "theme" , see this forum thread on why this is a poor choice.

Have you tried with default OC theme? If working with default, the issue is your theme.

Custom OpenCart modules and solutions. You can write PM with additional questions... Extensions you can find here

First, try without minimizing js files
If it does not fix, disable the module you use for the countdown

It is a poor choice indeed, but is one of the best looking sadly.

Possibly a JQuery conflict, it may be fixable with https://api.jquery.com/jquery.noconflict/ but if you're not a developer, probably find one to fix it for you from the Commercial Support Forum.

Or consider another theme such as ours which is CSS *ONLY* and will therefore always work:

It is a poor choice indeed, but is one of the best looking sadly.
That's a matter of taste. I find most of the Journal skins plain ugly, too bloated and confusing on the frontend look.
