Hello, i am running my store on opencart version 3.0.3.1 php 7.1 mysql MariaDB 10.1 and theme is journal3. my store hosted on digitalocean server. i am facing speed in order placement. after clicking order confirm button it takes 4-6 second to reach order success page. i consulted with my hosting provider but they have no clue. if any one can fix this issue i can pay. i wanted quick order placement 1-2 second.

Most likely connecting to your mail server is slow.
Approx. 90% of the time spend from confirm to success is due to mail sending as the script waits for that to complete.

i am not using any payment extension. currently i am using extensions which are relate to checkout page is. restriction payment method from clearthinking, smscart from bulkgate. xshipping, journal quick checkout. but recently i did some test and found that email script is taking time in order placement.

Actually SMTP was never designed to be used by online scripts like php as it is more extensive than php mail but subsequently also slower.
For email clients which sync in the background multitask it is great, php scripts need to wait and therefore so does your online customer.

You could use Mailqueue but it is a paid extension.
