Update Sept. 25, 2012:

Hi Everyone.

We're excited to announce that we've developed an m-commerce extension for OpenCart.

The MobiCart / OpenCart extension will enable you to offer your OpenCart store on a range of mobile devices. MobiCart supports native iPhone, iPad and Android apps as well as HTML5 web apps.

We've added the connector to the OpenCart extensions directory which can be found below:

http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=8344

Thanks again and I'd be more than happy to answer any questions.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear opencart members,

With our development reaching the half way point we are pleased to announce a FREE mobile commerce web app builder for the IPhone, IPad and Android phones:

http://www.mobi-cart.com/

MobiCart is a free app that can work as a standalone application or by using our API can be linked up to any 3rd party shopping cart.

With the launch date approaching we wanted to see if any members would be interested in integrating opencart with MobiCart.

Any integration would be credited to the developer and be featured on our App Marketplace which is also launching soon.

Thanks again,

Wladimir

Hi Danny,

Yes that is correct. Instead of creating an ecommerce shop for the web, you create one for the app store. Your customers can then download your app then start buying products from you.

Also instead of using our CMS to add products you can use our API and link up to opencart so each time you update your products there, it will then feed them to MobiCart and MobiCart will then feed them to the app store.

Kind Regards,

Wladimir

This sounds great. Where are you guys based?
Do you know when the final product will be available?

Is there any more information about how it works available?

Thanks
Tom

So, how do you guys make money?

Are there any fees at all?

Do you plan to start charging fees in the future?

How will you stay operating?

Thanks

Hello,

We will be making money via various open source revenue models (commission from payment gateways (which they will pay us, not from you), optional support etc)

To end users it wont cost a penny! 100% FREE :)

Kind Regards,

Wladimir
