Can anyone give me any information regarding emails on opencart 3.0.3.2, for some reason no emails are getting sent to the customer. or to the admins email address.
I have made sure the email server is set up correctly and I have also tried importing the oc_events from a brand new database into my website database to make sure all entries are there. I have also checked Catalog > Events to make sure there is sufficient items in there. it seems everything is ok, but the emails are not sending. does anyone have any suggestions please.

Are you getting any error messages?
Please also post your full email setup credentials (except for your password) ie. SMTP hostname, SMTP username, SMTP port etc

Okay. Firstly you are using SMTP credentials but have not selected 'SMTP' in the Mail Engine box. Should be set to SMTP
Then your SMTP hostname appears to be incorrect. Try setting to mail.tastiertreatsdover.co.uk
The Outgoing Server(SMTP) is not the same as the SMTP host name. It is very confusing and this is where my biggest problem lay too after I had reset my whole system.
All the other settings appear to okay. Perhaps you also need to just add the TLS option as I noticed from your screen grab that it is required
Then, if that does not work, you need to check that your email support@tastiertreatsdover.co.uk is actually working. To do this, firstly, insert your email into your store thus:- System/Settings/Stores/ then click on the Store tab and insert your email address into your store namely: support@tastiertreatsdover.co.uk
Then go to Marketing and send a test marketing message. You should get a response via your website email forwarder that you have setup on your web hosting cPanel
If that works, then create an order and try sending via the SMTP protocol that you have set.
If you get an error message after all of that has been correctly setup, then try increasing the SMTP timeout to 20 or 30 seconds to give the server time to respond as sometimes the response may be too slow and that will create all kinds of errors
Good luck, hope that works

Thank you very much for your assistance. Using the settings you provided the mail service has now been fixed. Just in case anyone else gets a problem and wishes to look at this thread I have attached an image of the settings that I am now using.

As above, if you have selected "Mail" then the SMTP settings below will have no effect.tastiertreats wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 3:41 pmThank you very much for your assistance. Hello all,
I was able to get my mail setting under SMTP with blank parameter like the attachment before a server crash. Could some one please attach a mail.php and smtp.php configure file that working under Smtp setting so i can compare to my database. Thank you. Originally, I was able to recover all database from the old server to new one and everything works accept my mail working with the same setting and configure like the previous one. I have tried -f options and also check my store address email and also did configure smtp_username inside smtp.php . I tried port 587 and also 465 for ssl as well. I really hope to this point that both my mail.php and stmp.php might be misconfigured. Please share

your settings depend on your mail server.
Some accept smtp over port 25, some do not and require port 587 with authentication.
So there are no universal mail settings.

What version of PHP? Do you have Mail or SMTP set as the Mail Engine? What other settings are you using? Have you checked both the PHP and OpenCart error logs? Have you checked your mail server logs to see the emails are reaching it?anjalis9897 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 8:23 pmCan anyone give me any information regarding emails on opencart 3.0.3.8, for some reason no emails are getting sent to the customer. or to the admins email address.
