Edit product option within product options tab within admin

I'm looking for an extension or a way that I can edit or add a products option from within the product options tab when editing a product, rather than having to go to catalog > options

At the moment when I edit a product option I need to go to catalog > options and then change the option name. If I add a new option I first need to go to catalog > options and then add the option and then go back to the product and add the option.

I'd like to be able to do all this within the product option tab when editing a product, it seems a lot easier this way.

Has anyone come across an extension or a way to do this?

The problem, by using this method, is that an option created from the admin - > catalog - > options page is not yet assigned to a product. Editing a parent option from the admin - > catalog - > products page would also reflect the change to all other products where a prior name may have been renamed into. If, by creating a parent option requires a product relationship would be considered, parent options would no longer be considered as parent options. It's simply common sense on this one.
