Hi guys!

New day, new problem!

Thought I'd check to make sure everything was running smoothly on my website, so I made an order.

Logged in through checkout (Ajax quick checkout) and this appeared on my screen (second screenshot) Couldn't get rid of that message so had to clear cache. Spoke to the awesome guys at Dreamvention and they discovered a mod had been added, see the second first screenshot, they've asked me to contact the developer to sort out as it was a huge mod of standard Opencart checkout (their words).

Now I've asked my developer if they have touched any Opencart core files and they have flatly said no they hadn't.

Whilst this was going on, The also very awesome guys at Isenselab were checking why one of their mods wasn't working properly 'Order Success Page'. They got their mod to work again but told me this:
'It appears that the core OpenCart files were modified manually and some language variables are missing hence the error you are seeing in the picture you have sent us.

Please ask your developer to restore those language variables.

Now I'm stuck as I have no idea who or what has changed all these files. Can someone suggest something I can do? It appears to be around all the Opencart Cart files, could I just reload the default files back to my site?

MANY THANKS for any suggestions!
Nick

The mod in the first screen shot looks like an installed OCMOD. Can work out which one it is and disable it? Then clear and refresh your modifications cache.

If your actual core files have been changed, you could could re-upload the files. Take a backup first of you files and database in case anything goes wrong. You would also need to clear and refresh your modifications cache.

You could also check your FTP access logs. In cPanel it's under Metrics -> Raw Access or ask your host. This may tell you which FTP user and their IP address uploaded the changed files.

I would take a backup as mentioned, put the site in maintenance mode, activate the default theme, disable as many extensions, OCMODs, and VQMODs as possible, upload a clean version of Opencart except the config.php and admin/config.php files and the install folder and see what happens.

Can you list exactly what you did. Also, what version of PHP are you running?

Ok. It's hard to pinpoint this without access to your hosting account via FTP.

I'll happily look for you. I would start from scratch and upload a clean OC. I wouldn't touch your live site. PM me FTP access and I'll take a look later. If it's a big problem you would be best posting in the commercial forum. Taking a look first would help though.
