Button to custom module on products page

Hi,
I have created a copy based on product/product module that is called product/personalise which holds all the product options (with its own controller) so I want the button on the product view page to redirect to product/personalise instead of adding to cart. I have managed to get this to redirect but not sure how the best way to go about it is as my methods so far were using ajax to replace the main container which results in no url update or loading the new url with which results in a non seo url. Any help would be appreciated or a nod to any useful info.

Well do you want these custom products being picked up by SEO?
To add it for SEO, it would require a 3rd party SEO mod that supports custom paths. OpenCart built in SEO only supports default category, product, manufacturer, and information pages. So once you've got that done and working, just link the SEO version of the url
