Hello,
I have migrated my store from the WordPress platform to the OpenCart platform.
From previous times google have indexed hundreds of links to former WordPress store.
OpenCart does not generate a 404 error and Google believes that the pages are still alive.
example of an old link
https://hot-rod.com.ua/product-category ... n_baskets/
When clicking on this link, OpenCart displays it's default not found page
example of a new link
https://hot-rod.com.ua/components-ru/gin-baskets-ru
such pages and this negatively affects search result on google.
How to solve this problem correctly?
Thank you in advance.
Max
Opencart controller by default handles such request and work accordingly. Its it default feature.

You need to generate 301 redirects with a tool like this:

Your page not found is indeed returning a 404 error. you can check with this:
http://www.webconfs.com/http-header-check.php
However, as others have said, you should be redirecting all old URL's to the new ones. There are plugins to do this, depending which shop you migrated from.
