I have a few questions now that I ran into this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 23068663bytes)in/mnt/stor14wc1ord1/927528/www.bcidefense.com/web/content/storage/ ... backup.php on line 79

My site is being backed up with Codeguard and I have SQL and FTP backups.

My question(s) are:

Whats the difference between SQL Database Back up vs the Opencart 3.0.2.0 Backup function? ??? If I just do SQL backups am I missing anything that the Opencart backup provides? Are FTP backups important alongside the SQL and Opencart Backup?

What is a good practice for backing up my Opencart 3.0.2.0?

Well, the Opencart Admin Backup only backs up the Content of Tables, but it's not
a fully 'installable' Backup, able to be used, to also create the Tables and so on. In Contrary
to a full Backup, wich could be used, to be inserted to an empty newly created DB.
And the memory size likely depends on the Root + Admin php.ini File settings
memory_limit = 64M;
wich should be increased to i.E. 640M (Megabytes).
But how much Memory you'll really get, depends on what the Hoster allows you to use.
So, also check on the Server Admin PHP Settings, if you can change the Value there as well!

Thank you very much - your input pointed me in the right direction. I am now able to export the admin backup of my opencart store.

What is the benefit of backing up the site using FTP? Currently I have the Opencart admin backup, and .sql export of the database. should I incorporate a FTP backup as well for good practice?

Well, by use of FTP, you're backing up all of the OC Source Files, but not
the Database, and one has no access to a DB by use of FTP. And the ADMIN
Backup Function only downloads the CONTENT of the Database, but not a full
Database either, such can only be accomplished by use of the Server Admin
Tools. Backing up the OC Source Files just makes sure, to have a Copy, in case
that something breaks, or if one needs to re-install OC onto another Site.
