Install: Session.auto_start problem

Hello,
I have this error :
(There is even a mistake in "occured"

)

The following errors occured:
session.auto_start must be enabled.

Please fix the above error(s), install halted!

Session.auto_start IS ENABLED!!! and I'm using PHP 5

Any ideas?

This error message comes from the /install/index.php (line 29) because the call to the standard PHP function ini_get('session.auto_start') returns FALSE.

Are you sure your PHP is correctly set up? What does a phpinfo() call display?

Yes i know its line 29

Session.auto_start is enabled

- I've checked PHPInfo

When i erase the function that checks session.auto_start
I can install, but then nothing works (only index page works and i dont have any images for the products)
=] 404 error. ..

Any suggestions?

Try a new host maybe? Just to see if it something weird about that one host or a repeatable problem.

The host is OK!

I have like 3 forums running on it and one site. No Problems!

I dont think this error can come from permissions?

Try installing an older version of OC and see if that works. Maybe it's at a certain version that it breaks. It could also be that your other forums don't use the auto_start feature so they were never affected.
