Can we simply empty oc_session table from phpmyadmin ?

I see my site loading very slow, which normally loads like a rocket.
Im starting to debug and I can see in database, it shows 6,00,000+ records in OC_SESSION Table.

Can I simply empty it ?

And is there any plugin in opencart to see the slow queries or something ?

In wordpress, we get a nice plugin to see and debug.

How can I set expiring date for this records and what are they used for?

yes,you can.
without session,you will have to sign in again.
simply empty oc_session table will force you to sign in again.
