Hi all,

I am trying to add all the coupons used on the Customer Comment once they placed an order.

Currently looking at /catalog/model/checkout/order.php but not really sure which one to change.

The reason for doing this is because I'm using shipstation and it doesnt export customer coupons. only customer comments.

EDIT:
Example.
They used the coupon 10OFF. it will be added to their order comment. if they added a comment of "Hi, please ship asap"

the coupon will be appended to their comment which will make their comment
"Hi, please ship asap - Coupon used 10OFF"

Would really appreciate if anyone could assist.

Sorry.

When a customer places an order. I wanted to append the coupon code they used to their comment.

Example.
They used the coupon 10OFF. it will be added to their order comment. if they added a comment of "Hi, please ship asap"

the coupon will be appended to their comment which will make their comment
"Hi, please ship asap - Coupon used 10OFF"

Why do you need that? If customer uses coupon, it's perfectly visible on order page in admin.

I am using Shipstation to process the orders and it would be nice if I can see whether a customer uses a coupon or not. Just wanted to check everything on one platform.

I have no idea, what is Shipstation, but the only way to implement this is do a custom work. Your task is quite specific and I doubt there's any extension, which does that.

I would not suggest this strategy on attaching coupon codes since there would be no way on knowing if the provided comment is a positive / negative comment. It wouldn't make sense to attach a coupon code based on a negative / unrelated comment to the order before approving the order.

It's just an order comment, it's neither negative, nor positive.

Please, stop shooting replies without even thinking before that. Read the description above, OP clearly stated what for he needs this. Nothing unrelated or unsecure, just coupon code from ALREADY APPLIED coupon is added to order comment as additional info for ANOTHER PLATFORM, which obviously has another structure.
