Last Page Visited - External URL's?

Can someone tell me why the 'last page visited' column (Dashboard > People Online report) often lists external URL's. By external I mean web addresses not associated with my domain.

Simple. Opencart uses referral addresses from the browser and does not restrict itself to the platform only, by default.
