Hi
I upgrade from 1.5.6.4 to 2.3.0.2, the back is working fine no error all category, products,sales, images are all there but I can't see the front end of my site, getting this from google

This page isn’t working beadaliciousbeads.co.uk is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500
any help please.

This error could be just about anything, unfortunately. Its unlikely an upgrade from 1.4 to 2.3 is going to go smoothly without the assistance of a developer -- and probably major assistance. Its a big change.

You should check your server error logs (not the opencart error log) for around the time the 500 error was shown, it will give you more detail on what the error actually is.

Hi, Thank for your repy, I did check my server error log and there is an error

[core:crit] [pid 51418] (13)Permission denied: [client 180.76.15.28:55790] AH00529: /home/xxxx/public_html/xxxx/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable and that '/home/xxxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/' is executable

That sounds like it could be a file permissions or ownership error.

Please try setting the file permissions of .htaccess to 0644 or 0444

Please contact your host regarding the error as it may then be an file ownership problem or could be related to Selinux.

They should now how to solve it their end.
