Am I ok to remove this from any sites that I make with OpenCart?

Also, is there an option to remove the branding? I'd gladly pay for it seeing as it's such a good product!

You may remove it front the shop front, it needs to stay in de BO and files.

Just out of interest, probably a stupid question, but what's BO? Can't for the life of me think what it is..... :-\

OpenCart is open source software and you are free to remove the Powered By OpenCart if you want, but its generally accepted practise to make a small donatation.

Does this mean it can be removed from the Admin Login page?

I wouldn't mind leaving it there myself, but I think it gives the impression to clients that not much work has been done and that I have simply installed an open source script and charged them for it.

Lol, yeah but there's still a lot of work to get it to look good and function as they expect. Some seem to think it only takes 20 minutes hence the 'I want a website, I have a budget of £50 pounds and can I pay in installments' enquiries :(

Put together a good looking website with strong functionality and no one will even notice.

The main reason to remove it is security.

A simple way of removing the "Powered by" is to install my simple plugin:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=3693

It removes the "Powered by" from the footer and from the emails the customer get after purchasing anything from the store.

It is VQMod so just drop the file into the VQMod directory.
