multiple delivery addresses using vqmod

Hi all,

I am trying to create a vqmod extension where different products can be assigned to different addresses at checkout. What came to mind was using vqmod to create popup at checkout with the looping through the list of products and with each item/product in the loop having a recipient name and recipient address associated with it and post it to a custom api using json. I was opting for vqmod because I cannot edit the core source files or db schema.

Is it possible to accomplish this with jquery inserted into the checkout using vqmod?
