Site http://www.vapour.me.uk/ Opencart 2.2 and Jornal Theme. All that you see was built before the slow down started happening. The carousals, the several different categories, all the images, everything you see, were coming just like a good opencart site would.
Now if you watch the load on http://www.vapour.me.uk/ it comes in so slow. Something is requesting before images and modules are allowed to come in.
https://developers.google.com/speed/pag ... ab=desktop says errors, but does not say what they actul are.
On firefox I get a error report " A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

I ran this link in a webpage speed test online. It is a script causing this for sure.
TTFB was 2 secs (too slow but OK), than 30 seconds of nothing, than loading of site assets at normal speeds.
So in the middle is some javascript being executed, likely malware going at what Ernie experienced.
Take it offline, clean it up!

Whoa there Ernie! It is not malware checked on https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www.vapour.me.uk/ . I know it hangs Firefox and you wonder what the hell is going on? but a opencart script is asking for something and does not let anything else happen till it does a time out. We did the same and automatically jumped to the conclusion that we had been "hacked" but if you do look into the code, you will see scripts are all opencart related.
