Hi all - Have been using lots of Opencart 1.5x store, but now I have our first new store installation using Opencart 2.2.
When I try to use the store to test it out, my server comes to a *halt, overloaded, and looking into this, I see mysqld running using up all the cpu time. Has anyone ever experienced this? Having been struggling with this a while, I am certain that this behavior begins when I run the OC 2.2 store thru a browser, or the OC 2.2 Admin for the Store ( I start up both when I am testing, so not sure if it is the store itself or the Admin console that is the culprit)

* Details: Running on a dedicated server thru a commercial hosting company, CentOS 5.3, PHP 5.2, if I SSH in & do a Top command, I see this:
PID User PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
3507 mysql 18 0 382m 61m 6976 S 189.2 2.0 36:03.91 mysqld
and it suddenly takes 30-40 seconds to open any web page on this server.

Problem Solved - Turned out I had added an Extension that became a CPU & DB resource hog when the number of items was above 300+.

Yes, I get it. I am speaking with the Developer and if it is not a "user error" then I will post back here. That's what posting "good" information is all about ! :)
