At present, the way you add the stock is go through the Product menu.

Then you have to find the product, go to data then alter the amount.

Can we have a add stock by entering a product code, then the amount +/- to the item.

In a previous site, we setup a stock taking sheet which had a page that listed the products with the current qty.. This was just updated then the whole page submitted.. different but still be good to consider.

i like the idea of a manual inventory adjustment feature. in my case it would have to have the option to filter products or search for just what you need. otherwise there would be hundreds of pages of inventory.

another option would be to have an import script. upload a csv or xml and the script loops through the contents and either adjusts to the values in the csv or does a negative adjustment in which the values from the csv are subtracted from the on hand values.

I found a solution!!! (for updating SQL data in a separate script)

Inventory adjustments is indeed a very important features. somehow I found a solution, but not secured(unless hide it).

1. you have to download and install "Web Form Generator" @
http://dbwizard.pages4u.net

2. you need to get your MySQL data from your PhpMyAdmin first to test it(and safely get your "product" table) and test it locally in your computer.

3. use this portable webserver(Apache) with MySQL(http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html) for testing(from your exported real MySQL server and import it locally here using "localhost/PhpMyAdmin")

4. Use the Web Form Generator to call the "Product" tables. Add that table and generate web forms.

5. upload the "output" directory anywhere in your server and access it.

I hope you guys may integrate it to the new version of opencart, since I'm stuck with the Php4 version(http://bico.shop-ph.com). can anyone help me secure this php script?

Wow! can you modify the "product" page? or it is about the securing of that page?

My only wish list is:
* a list view of products(the current one), with columns: Product name / Price / Quantity / Status
* an Inventory page(or use the current product page), where we can edit(Price/Quantity/Status) at least 10 shown items(per page) and save that 10 items at once.

btw I'm using the 0.6.5.. unless there's an ability of my existing product to be imported to the new version.. is it possible?

many thanks bro.
