Hi,
I've set OC to use yandex for my emails but I'm getting following error. I don't know whether this is about my hosting. Can anyone please help me to find what the problem is?

Thanks.

Code: Select all

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to ssl://smtp.yandex.com.tr:465 (Connection timed out) in /home/xxx/system/library/mail.php on line 167

Hi,
Which part is not correct. Can you please give me more details. Or If you have, could you please share correct settings with me?

Thanks.

Try adding this 2 things.
1) Add ssl:// before host name.
So if you host name was smtp.store.com it will change to ssl://smtp.store.com

2) Try to add -f before the username.
So if your username was myusername it will change to -fmyusername

This settings sometimes work.
If both does not work. You must call your host. And tell them why smtp does not work,
They will solve the problem or give you some solution.

Hi,
I've done all these settings and asked my hosting. But they are not able to solve this problem. I'm using yandex as my mail host. DKIM is activated. I think this is the problem. There is no setting related to this. I'm not very professional on that. If anyone can solve this issue, I can pay for that. Pleae contact me.

Hello imdevlper18,

I have same SMTP problem. But now Contact Us mailform returns error codes page after installing an extension. (OC v2.2.0 with vqmod.). It seems the module overriding my OC admin folder. Can you help me out?

Thanks in advance!

No I am using my host's SMTP details that they provide for each email address.

I just tried that, but when I Click On the send button it doesn't do anything at all. No errors to display either.
