Has anyone ever have problems using opencart on ipage?

I have installed opencart before on network solutions and godaddy without any issue. This time, I tried to install opencart with ipage and am having problems.

1. After uploading the files to the server to www.@@@.com/store, renaming the config.php files and changing the file/folder permissions as specified in the install file, I encountered a 500 Internal server error when going to the store URL for installation www.@@@.com/store. So, I contacted ipage support. They fixed it by resetting the file permissions in my account and removing the php.ini files in the /store folder.

So, I was able to finally got through opencart installation. But a new problem arose.

2. This time, when I tried to enter the admin page at www.@@@.com/store/admin, I got another 500 internal server error . Contacted ipage support again. Not sure what they fixed but finally I was able to access the admin page.

3. New problem! I can view the admin page, but after entering the user id and pwd, It wouldn't take me to the admin panel! I have verified that my user id is correct in the sql database, and also reset the pwd. Page doesnt give me any errors, it just wouldn't let me in the admin panel.

Can anybody help?

Which version of Opencart are you using and did you install it manually or with a pre installer? I'm not familiar with iPage and what they have to offer but I'm very familiar with Opencart.
