facebook images issue

Hi

I have a client who has a 1.5.6.4 oc store and when they copy a product url and paste it into Facebook, the image of the product does not display and was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and if there is a solution

I heard it might be to do with facebook og tags so put a extension in but did not work

Did you use facebook debugger?
It should let you know what the issue is, so you can try to fix it

I did a Facebook debug report and it gave the following warnings

Warnings That Should Be Fixed
Inferred Property The 'og:image' property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Share App ID Missing The 'fb:app_id' property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.

How can I fix those two warnings please, sorry

I would not worry about the second warning, (Share App ID Missing) I get that on mine and they share OK.

Re the og:image warning, is that included in your metadata?
If not, it needs adding :-)

Use an extension to add Facebook Meta Tags in your store.
EX: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... n_id=13741
or any other similar extension
