Looks like the games up!

Dreamweaver CS3 and Photoshop CS4 (Just switched from GIMP). I keep a small code library for the nav stuff that gets reused with different stylings but thats about it.

Switching to Photoshop was a painful experience but in the end worth it.

What are you guys using? Readyman, your site is very nice, what are you using?

I should really try these tools out. I just started using photoshop... and tho i can tell it is already powerful.. the intuiviteness of the controls is completely ass-backwards. It doesn't follow any of the default Windows command structures or shortcuts... and compared to programs like paint.net and paint shop pro, the keys are all wrong

But I'm fighting through it the best I can, as I know this is a powerful app. But I still lack vision for theming.
I guess Daniel uses Fireworks.. so im confused as to what the differences are. I'll just have to play with them and see if any of them can help me

and for me, using anything other than an adobe product seems anti-intuitive ( except for flash cs4 on mac that is ).

i've ben a designer/developer for over 10 years and couldn't use anything other than photoshop. tried gimp and i just couldn't deal with the lack of support for plugins / actions / support.

rocksteady,

@imaginetech, Ah ok, so it is all you then... I though you had some great tool that was showing you all the styles and letting you make sitewide changes quickly.

At the moment I'm using photoshop elements & Blumentals WeBuilder 2007 on this little ASUS eeepc that I take with me everywhere. If you want to have a cheap alternative to photoshop, get Elements - it has everything you need without the overload & great for laptops too.
Don't use gimp, unless you can't get photoshop to work on Linux. I have a basic Windows 7 and Linux Ubuntu machine as well running gimp, photoshop, & NVU, but I prefer to design templates in the back garden on the laptop.
At work I've got adobe cs3 suite - dreamweaver, photoshop & fireworks. I still use WeBuilder 2007, it's got everything for coding that I need. I might look at the 2010 version now actually.

I purchased your ProShop on 3/20/2010 but it looks like I got the one for release 1.4.2.

If I re-downloaded the template from my account history, would that give me the latest version and can I just re-install it without losing any products and stuff I've already worked on?

If not, how can I get the new version for 1.4.4?

Thanks.

Hi imaginetech

I have purchased and downloaded the Proshop template for 1.4.7.

Install seemed to go ok but I am receiving these errors...

Notice: Undefined variable: text_home in /home/www/xxxx/shop/catalog/view/theme/ProShop/template/common/footer.tpl on line 3 :: Notice: Undefined variable: text_special in /home/www/xxxx/shop/catalog/view/theme/ProShop/template/common/footer.tpl on line 4 :: Notice: Undefined variable: logged in /home/www/xxxx/shop/catalog/view/theme/ProShop/template/common/footer.tpl on line 5 Notice: Undefined variable: text_login in /home/www/xxxx/shop/catalog/view/theme/ProShop/template/common/footer.tpl on line 6 :: Notice: Undefined variable: text_account in /home/www/xxxx/shop/catalog/view/theme/ProShop/template/common/footer.tpl on line 10 :: Notice: Undefined variable: text_checkout in /home/www/xxxx/shop/catalog/view/theme/ProShop/template/common/footer.tpl on line 11 :: Notice: Undefined variable: text_cart in /home/www/xxxx/shop/catalog/view/theme/ProShop/template/common/footer.tpl on line 12

The same variables resolve ok in header.tpl.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

We just brought this theme. Can someone give us some pointers on how to change the title font's color? It looks like the text is transformed into an image via some code.

Thanks in advance,
J

Will this work for 1.4.8 you think? Assuming there are no big CSS changes i guess

Can you change the colour or the band at the top from green to say blue or silver?

Thanks,

Dan.
