Is this on the same hosting account with the same account username? What port number are you using? Usually, it's 3306 but you may need to contact your hosting company to verify.

24karatcoin, your error is not an issue with the database credentials--it's an error with the server configuration, or as Randem suggested, with file permissions. The server is not able to execute the PHP code. I would suggest you ask your host for assistance.
