HI all

OC2 comes with OCMOD as part of its base install. However there are many extensions that say they require VQMOD. So if I use one of those extensions that say it requires VQMOD do I install VQMOD on my OC2 site or does OCMOD do this for me?

Thanks

Thanks I had read that page before, but it was not clear (to me) if I still needed to install VQMOD if a specific extension says it needs it, or will OCMOD do the same thing that installing VQMOD would do?

If the extension is a vQmod extension you need to install vQmod, if it is an OCMOD extension then vQmod does not need to be installed. For a fuller explanation please read

But, can you run BOTH VQmod AND OCmod extensions on the same Opencart store?

Sure, this is basically no problem. It only could get to be a problem, if a VqMod and an OcMod possibly collides, kind of, because an OcMod has 'eaten' away a MARKER-TAG, used by a VqMod, to do it's own Job.

So, whenever you installed a new Extension, whatever type, just make sure, to use Doctor Mod, or one of the other test Programs, mentioned below, to find possible collisions.
Good Luck ! ;)
