Hi
I have now become vat registered and in the process of finalising my updated site. I have set the website with all the tax classes etc to calculate the correct VAT. However, the retail prices are now 20% higher. Is there a way to show the product the same retail price as before but have the ex-vat price show 20% less?
The product price in the store admin is showing as £21.99, but on the store it is showing as £26.39. I would like to store price to be the same as the price that is inputed in admin and have the Ex price show as -20% of the £21.99.
Your help is much appreciated.
Before anyone asks. All my prices before was the price as though I was VAT registered so I won't be losing out by having the same retail prices now I am vat registered.
Its an annoying one when I had to do this I had to rework out all the prices. Nice and easy if you have an import tool though
The calculation to work backwards is to minus 16.6666%
16.6666% of 21.99 = 3.66498534
21.99 - 3.66498534 = 18.32501466
I always use 4 decimal points as when someone buys multiples it adds up better
Hope that helps

Thanks for your reply. I thought this might be the case. I was hoping there was some easier way. With over 6000 products with allot of books not being vatable to sort out as well, I was trying to avoid this route.
Just did a quick extension search and found this one
