Recurring Profile / Subscription - manual payment

It appears that manual payment for recurring profiles is not available with the standard OpenCart and it is not available from an extension.

Would anyone be interested in writing an extension that enables a customer to order a subscription or recurring profile) and pay manually via Bank Transfer. WooCommerce and Subscriptio make this possible but I'd prefer to use OpenCart 2.x.

When the recurring transaction was becoming due, an order should automatically be created for that customer and send them an email letting them know that a subscription was becoming due. They can simply decide to renew it through OpenCart, Cancel it or let it lapse.

I've seen others say this is a bit crazy, but I'm certain this would help plenty of small businesses that are doing high price transactions but low quantity. I'm happy to pay a developer if there is a solution. Please let me know if it is even possible.
