Theme upload help please

Hello Guys

I am totally new to opencart and have been building a site for one of our companies and I am getting the hang of it quite well (for me anyway)

I wish to add a new theme through filezilla

however i keep getting critical error when adding the new theme

I think i have the root directory wrong

I have logged into my account and it connects fine, i then add the theme folder (unzipped) to the right hand side (remote site) I add / catalog / view / theme /

is this correct?

i really want to know why the theme is not uploading

I know this may sound trivial but we all have to start somewhere

sure, we have to start somewhere, but to start, we need to know, what you have, and use. Just mentioning, that you have a Shop, and a Theme, is no help at all, to even start.

I have opencart 1.5.3.1

I have hosting with LCN and login with them through apps to my cpanel

The website i am building is thegiftbasket.co.uk

The theme i wish to install is this one

1 - Extract the zip files on your local PC
2 - Send the THEME folder by USE of an FTP Client with the template files to the server (/ catalog / view / theme /)
3 - Login to the store admin panel (System / Settings)
4 - Click EDIT
5 - Click Store
6 - In the third position from the drop-down list, called Template, select a new template and save it
