Im hitting problems when trying to back up our store & when trying to create a clone, using mods
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 167772160 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 301216049 bytes)
I have increased the memory limit but our hosting company tell us we need to increase to 302MB and that its not good to go this high.
How can I create a backup or clone of our store without causing memory issues like this?

Thanks for that, although its just confused me further.
at the min the limit in php configuration is 160 m and our hosts are telling me I need 300m to make the mod work, but its not advisable to do this.
I don't know what to do and that info in your link is just confusing me more.
How do others manage to get around this issue?
Thanks

the only dangerous Resaon could be, that it would not function, because the Hoster does not allow you to use such a lot of SERVER-RAM, but he does not want to tell you this.
Plus, I assume, you don't plan to allow UPLOADS by Visitors, this could make it worse..., memory-wise
Usually, a Server/Hoster Abo Price depends on the MEMORY used, as well. This, because, you are possibly part of a few hundred Users, on the same PC, and the same SHARED MEMORY. So, if you need more than you get, you need to pay more RENT!
Good Luck

PS. If you want to see a nice responsive OC v.1.5.6.x Design, check my present test shop
and switch to the AGNES THEME!

I got it today, and after doing my best to raise Performance-Results, and even without starting to
modify the relatively extensive ADMIN Theme Setting Section, exept of clicking on to responsive,
at least down to 800x600 pixel, it looks very SWELL, despite of my two giant and not shrinked Images
on the fromt page! But even if it would not be responsive, I like the Style very much, it leaves a lot of
AIR to breath, and concentrate on Products, less on Surrondings

just to mention it!
