Is it possible to Notify all successful payments/orders?

Is there a callback function for an order that has been payed/done successfully regardless of what type of payment method the user has chosen?
I know that i can do it with a custom payment method, however, i don't want to be limited to a specific payment method. I need it to work with any payment method, even custom ones.
