Item Selection on Product Pages

Hello, I have a query regarding item selection on product pages – for example :-
If there are 6 kaftans available, each with different designs, and each design having its own product number/ID ( ie. kaf001, kaf002, kaf003 etc etc ) - when a shopper clicks on an additional image to expand it into the main image box – how can I show a caption/title to identify that particular kaftan ( ie. kaf002 ) ?
Also, clicking into a zoom view will still only show ” Kaftan ” in the heading for each item ! How can I differentiate the product items – so enabling the shopper to select which particular kaftan to purchase using ‘Options’.
I cannot yet find a way to do this or find an extension to do it for me.
Any advice would be appreciated...thanks.

Quick option would be to put the codes on your image

Thanks..I considered that but with 300+ images..its a bit of a bind !....I have a couple of websites built with OC 1.5.4.1 and was able to find extensions to do this ( not compat with OC2 )..but cannot yet find anything to do it in Opencart 2.0.1.1 etc..the search goes on !
