Charge Shipping Insurance?

Hello, is there a way to add shipping insurance?

I cant seem to find any settings in the admin area or any info in google searches.

It seems to be able to total with insurance on the page, but when i click confirm to make payment in paypal it won't add the insurance to total, i did try different orders for order total in admin but still nada...any help appreciated..thanks.

If you just need to automatically the insurance cost based on the shipping cost, you could use my Shipping-Based Fee/Discount extension. You can set a flat rate or percentage of the shipping cost that's added as a line item, which should be passed properly to PayPal.

It's a bug with the paypal standard extension. Looking into it.

I have added insurance as tax and edited it to be insurance. I am using the weight based shipping. This would be working perfect if all shipping had compulsory insurance but its not the case. Now I have a problem, I want to have an option to choose whether you want shipping insurance or not. I added radio buttons to select "include insurance" or "dont include insurance" on the /catalog/view/theme/default/template/checkout/shipping.tpl but i dont know how to check which button was checked. Im a php beginner.
