Product Page and Slideshow

I've been trying to figure this out and no matter how many changes I make just can't seem to get this figured out.

I have a clean new install of OC 2.0.1.1 and the slideshow works on the home page and when clicking on a product (product page) the slideshow is there as well. I'm trying to get rid of the slideshow off the product page(s) but keep it on the home page.

I've gone back and forth with setting the default layout and home page layout adding/deleting slideshow from both. The only way I find it to work right is to go into each product and change the default layout to "Product" and since there is no modules in the Product Layout it works fine. I use total import pro and have several thousand products I do not wish to have to goto each product after import and set the products default layout to "Products" is there something I'm missing?

Please since I'm not a programmer can you advise in steps so I can get this to work.

Check that the slideshow module is not linked to the default layout.

I have found the problem, it was with a Mod "Total Import Pro" that is not working correctly. When I would do a import of my products it's setting the default layout to HOME for each product. When I manually enter a NEW item it doesn't set a default layout and things work well.

Now the wait is on with Hostjars to respond to my support ticket from yesterday.. tic toc tic toc..
