Multistore - can't get it to work

Hi

having problems getting multistore to work, please can someone help.

example So far

1) bathroom.co.uk/shop is where my shop is located NOW
want to send bigtiles.co.uk to a new shop at bigtiles.co.uk

2) done an add on domain in cpanel called it bigtiles.co.uk



document root is it ..........

public_html or public_html/shop

3) In opencart admin is the store URL www.bigtiles.co.uk/ or bigtiles.co.uk/shop

4) in Domain redirection - is it www.bigtiles.co.uk/ or bigtiles.co.uk/shop


really got myself confused as my shop at the moment is in /shop/ but I want the other one to open direct in www.bigtiles.co.uk/ (so the root) can't get my head around it - and it doesn't seem to work whatever I do

If your opencart files are installed in the /shop folder, then all your stores will need to show it. So document root is where your opencart files are installed - public_html/shop

Also, your store url would have to be bigtiles.co.uk/shop

You should NOT have any domain redirections set.

If your main store is in a subdomain, ALL stores will be in the subdomain. Is there some reason you cannot install opencart in your root?
