Hi all,

I had been messing around with my payment methods file and added a cookie script for the European directive thing to my home.tpl. I removed it but it didn't fix the problem plus I have the same script installed on a friends and he doesn't have the same issues.

Since then I cannot get a customer to log in. The entire site seems fine including admin and adding products to the basket but as soon as a customer put in their username and password they get a 503 service unavailable page.

The same is also true if they try to use guest checkout. They can't get to the next step in checkout.

Registered customers cannot even login to their account using the my account link.

I have V 1.5.6 that has a few mods but I can't seem to pin down what is the problem.

The error log produces the following PHP Notice:
Registered Customers get the following error....
Undefined index: email (the next line is password too) in catalog/controller/account/login.php on lines 205 & 201

Guests get this.....
Undefined index: email (the next line is password, address, city all the fields they fill in too) in catalog/controller/account/register.php on line 433

Any thoughts? Could it be the database or is it more likely to be a file at fault?

Thanks,

Michael

Got a new error in the error log. I don't know if this will help diagnose the problem
PHP Warning: session_start(): open(/var/tmp/b/6/sess_b6p5jes8r4asr2di5cqdnlpmk4, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in system/library/session.php on line 11

More info.....tried to restore my database using the opencart restore and got the same Service unavailable error......

It would let me change one customer's details - but not my own that I had originally setup as a test

Moving hosting seems to be the answer! No doubt there was something in the files that was messing uo my login but it was quicker and easier just to duplicate the store over with another host
