There's not a Welcome page in a fresh install of OC2. That could be the problem.

Solution: drop the welcome mod and use the HTML content mod instead

Did you try using the Search or Google for this issue? I did and here's a link that may fix it!
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 1&p=518438

Don't forget, Google and the forum search are your friends!

Also try to disable all of your extensions that you have added that are NOT in a default installtion until the error is gone also.

Where is the problem?
A little risky to upgrade the manufacturing trade.
Can be a tedious job.
Try using the help opencart.sql file. Copy that file somewhere and edit it. Delete all the rows, which add tables data (INSERT INTO .... etc..)
After downloading the file to the database.
Update config.php file

Please post questions regarding an UPGRADE in a separate topic.

No upgrade is the same and this topic is about a CLEAN install only.

Why not creating a seperate forum / thread for upgrading issues / tipps / etc.??
I am sure posters will use it.

This here http://forum.opencart.com/viewforum.php?f=19 is too generic.

Adding a tax class without selecting any tax rates attached to it (possible when you got none configured) and saving settings results in a php error. Probably should check that tax rate is defined before allowing saving.

Absolutely Gutted Lol

Fresh install of V2.0 installed no problem and looks good BUT after spending the last day and a half loading products with my main site moved to another location with redirect in place whilst I got V2.00 set up, I've just tried the new install by removing the redirect and got the following:

No Welcome message, although I've seen that this is to be added using the HTML tool which I'll need to suss out

The big problem is when I click on the product category for a sub category I get the following

Not Found

The requested URL /Sausage Making/Pinhead-Rusk was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

All Categories are giving the same result as above despite showing they have products in them, I've had to put the redirect back in place until I suss this one out, any ideas whats wrong please?

Link to your site?

Any info in your error logs (server or OpenCart)?

As this is not a clean install anymore I suggest you open up a new topic.

I've decided to just put 1.5.6.4 back on the main domain until another updated release is available with the bugs hopefully sorted.

I'd tried a lot of the suggestions for other problems just in case but without any joy so counting my blessings I'd used a new database for trying it out.

One of the biggest problems when trying it as an upgrade instead of a fresh install was when I imported the database it would constantly give an IC_Administrator error so the import failed every time it was saying something existed already despite the database being empty prior to the import.

The fresh Install problems I encountered was as follows:

1) When adding products maybe every hour or so (I was on for 6 hours in total) it would log out and I'd have to log back in and reload the product I'd just done

2) After finishing and putting site live when you selected a category or sub category it came up as an error page as if the link to the category was broken.

3) I Had tried a fresh install of V2.0 in a Directory i.e my domain com/store and it didn't want to work at all it was either blank pages or error pages all the time when going to admin hence the reason I moved my site into a directory and put redirect to it there, whilst using the main domain for installing a fresh install which worked fine apart from No's 1 & 2 above but as a redirect was in place I couldn't test the site visually at the store front end.

What I've seen I like so hopefully a bug free release will be available soon :-)

I have no issues with a clean install.
