Hi Guys
i need you help if any can suggest a good Shipping Extension.
my website it is all about women clothing in other words the products are very lights
i did bought an extension but unfortunately not doing the right job for me:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... me=wwwshop
i am looking for something like:
- set free shipping's on selected items but at the same time if the buyer shopping cart exceed certain weight than a warning message will popup and notify the buyer that he/she they did exceed the free shipping and shipping charges will be on for the extra products.
the extension should communicate and read every product weight (mostly in grams).
i operate from Australia
i really appreciate suggestions and previous experiences with shipping's in OpenCart.
Hi SXGuy
lets say the customer chooses an item weight (10g) than he/she added more from the same items what will happens than?
in other words the item is (10g) the shipping cost is $1.40 than added more and more
the shipping cost in Australia is $1.40 up to 1.25g and $2.10 for 126-250g and $3.50 251-500g this apply for domestic only
now, how we can set up the module in the way when products exceeds 1.25 charge $2.10 and if the wight exceeds 251g charge $3.50 ??

1. Create a geo zone for Australia.
2. In Extensions > Shipping > Weight Based Shipping, set up rates within that geo zone tab.
3. Rates are in the format Weight:Cost, Weight: Cost, etc. So everything up to the first Weight will be charged the first Cost, up to the second Weight will be charged the second Cost, and so on up the brackets. In your case, you'd enter them like this:
0:0, 125:1.40, 250:2.10, 500:3.50, etc.
Any products that are free shipping should weigh 0, and then when only those products are in the cart, free shipping will be available.
