I have a multi store. Is there an extension that will stop my users from adding their products to the top level categories.
example
top level is called Jumpers
sub cat is called Mens, womens, boys, girls.

I want them to only be able to add their products to Mens, womens, boys, girls.
and not to "Jumpers"
Thanks :)

Hi gwp,

when saying "my users", are you actually talking about the admin users or your customers?

Is it currently handled from an extension or it's currently handled from the core?

Im not sure to be honest. Im planning on buying waabays multishipper module. That doesnt have it. Atm the core handles the categories. I just need something to disable the ability to place items in top level catergories. Thanks

The easiest path would be to restrict complete access to your users to the admin categories and products page from your admin - > systems - > users - > usergroups page then to redirect them to a modulated version of categories and products with multistore.

It sounds like you should be using the multi-vendor module, not multi-store?

http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... i%20vendor

Google Product Feed - Get your products into Google Shopping. Includes a bulk update facility.
Backup Pro - Backup (on demand or scheduled), Restore and Clone your store.
Freestyle Box - Add multiple information boxes on multiple pages of your store. Includes optional "Code Mode".

Since the module-vendor module is a contribution, I would suggest to contact the author and ask if your request can be already processed or implemented for future use.
