How to create a strike-through option

Dear opencart expert, I am new to opencart and is in the midst of setting up my store.

I would like to know if it is possible to add an option which will display as strike-through if the stock for that option is no longer available. Something like this:




If it is possible, how?
Would greatly appreciate any advice or comment!

Not possible by default. I couldn't find any extension that would do that either...so you'd need to figure it out for yourself, or post on the commercial support forum.

coincidentally I just wrote something like this for a client a few days ago. shows out of stock options as disabled and accompanying "out of stock" text in red.

It worked in the sense that it fulfilled my objective but just not in the exact text block display format shown above which was what I initially wanted.

Expand the Size option list
