Hi All,

When using the default fedex plugin in opencart 1.5.6.4, if there are more than two items in the cart, the shipping cost is calculated based on the combined weight of those items which is lower than our actual shipping cost since we have to ship them individually. Is there any way to calculate shipping cost individually for different items for a same order and get the actual combined shipping cost?

I am quite confused ??? . Please suggest.

Regards.

I believe Qphoria's FedEx Live Rates Global can do this. If not, I have an Individual Shipping extension that can display a shipping rate for each product in the cart, which would allow you to get a Fedex quote using the built-in method for each product.

Thanks Johnathan for the prompt reply.

Also, will this extension work if the shopping cart has two or more items one with free shipping (Requires Shipping set to 'No') and others with shipping charges?

Currently I am trying to use the extension "Fedex Extension (US only)"
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... _license=0

To enable free shipping i have set "Requires Shipping" field to "No" in Product Description. When I calculate the shipping cost even the free shipping item will generate the shipping charge.
Please suggest any work around in this scenario.

Regards.

I can only speak for Individual Shipping since it's my extension, but for those products it would show "No shipping is required for this product" under its section. If it was the only product in the cart, it would skip the shipping steps as usual.
