Hi

We keep having an issue where every so often we can't login to the admin area of our store. The username and password are correct, but it just flashes back to the login screen. Whilst this happens, on the front end, products can't be added to the site either.

Hours later it will be resolved, but not ideal when we need to get in there... its currently happening at the moment... is there anything we can do/try?

Thanks
Wayne

Do you have a ssl certificate installed? If yes, are you going to https admin to login?

Hi. Thanks for the reply.

No SSL, so just accessing via http.

I manage to log in most of the time, but occasionally it won't allow me in and remains that way for up to 4 hours.

Check your web error logs from your host panel or FTP. What report does it output regarding those events when attempting to authenticate into the admin-end?

Thanks for you reply.

I've logged into the admin and System>Error Logs (Is this the bit you meant?).

These are the last two errors, which was around the time I couldn't login;
2014-06-24 13:15:32 - PHP Warning: Unknown: write failed: No space left on device (28) in Unknown on line 0
2014-06-24 13:15:32 - PHP Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp/) in Unknown on line 0

Contact your web host regarding those events. They might be able to fix the issues.

Think you posted both at the same time :)

Thanks, I'm checking with our host at the mo. We're looking at moving it to a dedicated server in the next few weeks, just wanted a back-up plan in case it happened again before.

At this point, a backup plan would be irrelevant since the storage size has reached its limit. Without hosting modifications, there isn't much that could be done unfortunately.
