Sale discount on selected products

Hi

I've looked on the documentation and searched around regarding setting sale discount of products and after some pointers towards an extension, or whether its part of the core open cart.

I need to make an end of season sale and reduce products by 30%. But there are some products which are non-seasonable, so shouldn't be discounted.

Does anyone know if there's a way to select the items I want discounting and automatically apply the 30% off.

Grateful for any advice.

if you use OC v1.5.6.x, it still should function, despite of beeing written for the v1.5.5.x

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I had a look at that one and think its more for creating a column of the discounted items, rather than applying the discounts to the products.

You can use the Special price of products to do this. If you have too many products to manually change all the prices to be 30% off, you can do it for many products at once using Bulk Product Editing. It can set new Special prices based on percentages, too, so if a product is $50 and you enter 30%, it would end up with a Special price of $35.

Perfect. Just what I was after. Purchased and currently using now.
