I am wondering what shipping method plugin I should buy/download to accomplish the following:
I have certain (small) products which can be send for about 2 dollars. I also have other products that can be send for about 5 dollars. So I have 2 different shipping costs/methods.
For example: a customer add a 2 dollar shipping product to his cart. Total shipping should be: 2 dollar. When he adds another product in the 2 dollar shipping category the total shipping should still be 2 dollar. But when he adds a 5 dollar shipping product, the total shipping costs should be 5 dollar (and the 2 dollar shipping method can not be seen).
Is this possible with one of the plugins? I cannot seem to find any in the extension store that does the above.

Product-Based Shipping or Category-Based Shipping can do this. You can create two rates and then take the higher of the two based on the items in the cart.
A simpler solution might be to use product weights and the built-in Weight Based Shipping. If you only have two different rates, you can set the products for the lower rate to a weight of 0, and the products for the higher rate to a weight of 1. You can then create a rate like this:
0.99:2.00, 9999:5.00
That should charge $2.00 if only the light items are in the cart, and $5.00 if at least one heavy item is in the cart.
