Well yes and no.
I did not remove the in-line styles in the page code, but all the changes I made are managed in the css.

Opps, how did I miss that?
Forgot to change back an experiment.
Go to home.tpl and change

Code: Select all

<h2><?php echo $heading_title; ?></h2>
to

Code: Select all

<h1><?php echo $heading_title; ?></h1>
I'll fix this in the next version coming out with all in-line styles moved to css file.
Look for it on Monday.

No problem, I should have looked deeper before I leaped and made promises :-[

There's a lot, and I mean a lot of in-line styles in the code, I didn't really realize how much there is, but I'm not just putting in-line styles in the css, I'm moving all the align, valign, width, height, padding and so on from the tables, th, tr and td's and such on into the css.

Short of a few spots of Ajax code with a style or two, all else will be controlled by css. That being said I'm going to take more time to be sure it all works before I release it.

The one area I'm not sure I'll make changes to, at least right now is the pages in the payment folder. I may come back to them latter. Not sure yet.

Sorry for the hold up, but I'd rather it be right and working without bugs before I release it.

So, no more promises as to when I'll have it done, but I will shoot for the end of the week or sooner.

Very nice. Perhaps new templates should be built off of readyman's anti-inline-css port of the default theme so they all start with external css.

Wauw, that sounds like a lot of work.

I will donate as soon as I can testdrive it just to thank you for your hard work.

Personaly I like this version without the tabs better then the default one with the tabs.

@ Qphoria, I've send you a pm ;)

Okey-Dokey, new demo ALL CSS Controlled.

I have a bit more testing to do in the AM but just about there. And as I stated, I'll be coming back to do the payment folder .tpl files latter if at all, I'm not sure there's a need too. You tell me ;)

So check it out, play with it, let me know if you find a bug or ???

I will zip it up and release it tomorrow sometime... ummm say mid-day after I've double and triple checked everything I can think of. Right now it's looking pretty good, and loads fast.

I stated I was moving not only in-line styles, but table, tr, th, and td attributes to the CSS as well, and so I did. Short of a few Ajax styles everything managing the layout is now in the CSS.

There are other changes I made to this template that are not CSS related that you should know, I'll write more on that tomorrow, I'm beat and going to fall off to a good movie now :P

DEMO HERE

Please post any problems, comment or ??? here in this thread.

Thank You and...
Have a good evening everyone 8)

What movie did you watch, a horror, thriller or action movie ;)

Can't wait to see what it does on my webspace.

No, thank you!

I see that the W3C XHTML validator shows no error, great work!

When I check the css validation Here it comes up with 12 errors and 46 warnings.
The warnings are not that importand, the errors are.

I'm not here to make your live miserable, you may think otherwise, sorry for that ;D

Well I havn't been able to fall a sleep yet, brain won't shut down :o was watching an old John Wayne movie the Cowboys.
The stylesheet.css only has one error as shown below, done by direct input to the validator.
W3C CSS Validator results for TextArea (CSS level 2.1)
Sorry! We found the following errors (1)
URI : TextArea
2 html Value Error : overflow -moz-scrollbars-vertical is not a overflow value : -moz-scrollbars-vertical -moz-scrollbars-vertical
I just left overflow as it was. I'll fix it before I release the files and set it to overflow: auto;
I am aware of the warnings but they were there before and I wasn't out to re-work the entire CSS.
I should though as it is good code practice.

This test is done on the defaault install files, by URL of http://opencart.nwisg.net/OC140Demo/ as you see below the errors are from thickbox.css and most of the warnings as well.

Thanks!

How do I add or remove an item from the menu-bar?

In Dutch the word "Specials" is made out of 2 words "Speciale aanbiedingen" en thus the menu-bar goes whoes.
As the Shopping cart is already in the right colum I want to remove it from the menu-bar.

Edit: I found it.

Hmm, I want to have the Title of the Cart module to be clickable so when clicked it will go to the cart.

I've tried to use the one from the header but that generates an undefined error.

There's two ways to do this;
Add a relative link to the heading title to the cart at;
catalog/view/theme/All-CSS-NoTab/template/module/cart.tpl
Or
Modify the cart.php at catalog/controller/module.

Find:

Code: Select all

$this->data['heading_title'] = $this->language->get('heading_title');
and change to:

Code: Select all

$this->data['text_cart'] = $this->language->get('text_cart');
$this->data['heading_title'] = $this->language->get('heading_title');
$this->data['cart'] = $this->url->http('checkout/cart');
8) either way will work
