CKEditor up grade to 4.3

I'm using CKEditor 4.0 which seems to have issues with my IE11 and I want to add the paste from WORD if available... so I want to upgrade it to CKEditor 4.3

What I need to know before testing it is, will my changing to 4.3 screw-up / erase or do other things to my added text in products / categories / info etc?

I'm assuming not but...spooked.
My idea was to change the current CKEditor folder name to "CKEditor-lasa" therefor disabling it, and add the NEW 4.3 CKEditor to a CKEditor folder to test it... then, remove the "CKEditor-lasa" folder if everything works well.

But I really would like to not have TEXT issues...
Any thoughts on it?
