Global Mega Options Aleternative

Hello All,

I need items to have a required text field that the customer fills out.

Global Mega Options does exactly what I need, but its not compatible with 1.5+

Any one know of al alternative?

I just use the Options function that is within 1.5

and I use the mod
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... _license=0 because I need customers to only enter so many characters.

I have Global Options on an old 1.4.9 store and am dreading an upgrade
