Bank Transfer details not emailed to the customer

I'm setting up a bank transfer payment method. I have filled in the info, etc.

And when a customer buys something and chooses bank transfer - he does not get the email where he should make the payment to. It is only shown for a brief moment at the end of the checkout process.

is that normal?

is there a way to make opencart to send an email with bank transfer details to the buying customer ?
