Apologies if this question has been asked many times, but I can't see an answer that gives me what I'm after.
We have a very wide varienty of products from light and small items to large and heavy items (It's an aquarium shop) that can be shipped to all over Australia. The carrier we use has rates that cover all scenarios, but they are determined using volume and weight and distance. The extentsions all seem to focus on one factor or the other, not a combination of all 3.
(...and once I find an extension that calculates the shipping correctly, I am hoping it also allows some type of import as there as literally 1000s of records - which I already have in a csv)
Thanks
Formula-Based Shipping can accomodate volume, weight, and postcode, but you're not going to find one that does pure distance. (I'm planning on adding it at some point in the future.) You would use one particular rate type, such as Weight-Based, and then use the "Cart Criteria" column to limit those brackets by other values like volume and postcode.
You can paste in cost brackets from a spreadsheet, but not in the Cart Criteria column, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to convert your CSV data into something easily importable. Feel free to take a look at the screenshots and demo site (which includes some examples of various set-ups using the "Show Examples" button), and if you're interested let me know at www.getclearthinking.com/contact if you have any further questions.
